A till that rents out
An ordinary point of sale settles the sale and is done. A rental business is only halfway then: the item has to come back, on time, and you need to know who has it. eIDRent is therefore first a rental app and through that a till: every rental is at once the sale, the ticket and the open item you follow until everything is back.
- Pick or scan the product, tap a formula (hour, day, weekend, your own formulas), price and discount, payment method, ticket. Twenty seconds at the counter.
- Several products on one receipt: three go-karts, two helmets and a pannier on one rental with one total.
- Add the renter with one tap on the identity card, or not: the till works anonymously too.
- Open items: whoever pays later shows in red until you correct the payment, even after the return.
2
Settling up
- Four payment methods: Cash, Card, Open and Subscription. At the end of the day you see the total per method.
- Cash drawer: if a drawer is connected to your receipt printer, it pops open at every cash payment and when an open item is paid in cash. A button opens it for change.
- Card payments you take on your own terminal or with your payment provider's Tap to Pay and record as Card. A SumUp integration is planned.
- Late fee suggested and added at the return, with a return ticket.
3
Ticket and receipt printer
- Receipt printer on your network (ESC/POS or Star, 80 or 58 mm): the ticket comes out automatically, with your logo, company details, products, prices, end time and a QR code for the return.
- Affordable printers will do: an ESC/POS network printer from about 60 euros, or a Star TSP100. An AirPrint printer works too.
- Cash drawer socket is on almost every receipt printer; a drawer costs 50 to 80 euros.
- No printer? Everything works without paper; the customer sees the end time on the screen.
4
The end of the day
- End-of-day report: all rentals of the day with time, payment method and amount, revenue per payment method, a note for the accountant, emailed as PDF.
- Correct before it leaves: a wrong payment method or discount is fixed in the report itself; a test rental is left out.
- Statistics per product: how often rented, how long on average and what it earned, per week, month or season, as an A4 PDF.

What eIDRent is not
To be clear: eIDRent is not a certified fiscal cash register (the Belgian “white till” that the tax authorities impose on hospitality businesses above the threshold). Rental is not subject to that obligation. The end-of-day report is your daily takings book for the accountant, not a fiscal receipt. If you are unsure whether your business falls under the rule, ask your accountant.
- No stock management for sales items (drinks, snacks): eIDRent counts what is rented, not what is sold.
- No link to accounting software: the daily report goes to your accountant as a PDF.

What it costs
- A classic iPad point of sale costs 30 to 70 euros a month, often with a set-up fee and a contract.
- eIDRent costs a one-off € 99.99, for all your iPhones, iPads and Macs together. No subscription, no account, no advertising, no server of ours: your data lives in your own iCloud.
- Try it for free: the app is free to install and the first twenty rentals are free. You pay only once it has proven its worth in your business.
